Gillian Walbank

Chief Executive Officer.

I’m married to Andy. Between us we have 6 children.

I started working in Care in 1993, at a care home that catered mainly for Alzheimer’s patients.

In 2000 I moved to Scotland and did my Nurses training at Stirling University. I moved back to Yorkshire in 2009 and became the deputy manager of a domiciliary Care company where I met the other Directors at Care2Care.

I moved once again to become a Manager but became quite disillusioned and I wanted to start my own business.

In 2014, I made the decision to do just that. Our initial role was to assist other established companies cover uncovered care.

Before too long we took on our own clients and became fully independent in 2016.

We have a friendly atmosphere here at Care2Care, we treat everyone, carers and clients with kindness and respect and maintain a family feel throughout our company.

Phill Lautman

Chief Operating Officer

I have 5 children and am married to Wendy.

I started working part-time in health and social care twelve years ago. I really enjoyed the job, so much so that I discovered that doing it full time was what I really wanted to do.

Working initially in elder care, I eventually branched out into the sectors of, Supported Living and Learning disabilities

Having previously worked with Gill, (Director and CEO at Care2Care), we connected again when I supported the set up of Care2Care in 2014, eventually joining a couple of years later.

She once told me that “there is not a lot of scope for males in Care”. I remind her of that occasionally!

Care2Care is certainly a place for opportunity, where we are striving to be the company of choice.

I want people to say that this is the company to work for.

Zoe Sedgwick

Operations Director

My role at Care 2care is to ensure that everything runs smoothly and effectively.

I am engaged to Danny and we have 2 Children.

I grew up in the Care environment as my Mother was a Carer and was used to being around care homes and other people’s homes while Mum was working.

I played a role in helping Mum set up the company in 2014 and joined officially in 2016.

I love to solve problems and resolve any issues or complaints, so our service users and employees can be happy.

If you are willing to work hard and care about people, then this is the job for you and in my experience, this is an excellent company to work for.

Vicky Dempsey

Community Team Manager

I’ve lived in and around the Bradford area my whole life so have good knowledge of all areas where we cover care. I’m separated with no children, but I’ve always had a love for animals. My 2 year old French bulldog is my baby and love to go on walks with him to different places in my spare time.

I decided to change my career path into the care sector in September 2021, prior to this I was a retail store manager which is where I gained my management experience over a 20 year period,  I feel it was the right move at the right time for me personally. I started as a care worker to gain knowledge and experience and quickly moved into a care coordinator role which supported me in achieving my role today. I joined the care2care team in October 2022 and I’ve never looked back.

Care2care is a company that strives for excellence and I’m grateful to be a part of the future journey ahead. It definitely has a family feel, with a great teamwork ethic which starts with the community care staff, through to the directors. I would recommend any family to reach out to care2care to support their loved ones. Service users are the priority in all decisions made.

Jo Lautman

Human Resources Manager

My role is that of Human Resources Manager. I am central to managing the recruitment and selection process of the business and in bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.

I have been at Care2Care since July 2017 and prior to that I worked in Care Recruitment for 14 years. I came on board to boost staff numbers initially.

I have 2 children, aged 8 and 5. My Dad is a Director of Care2Care, Phill Lautman.

We are a family led business who see Carers as more than just staff, looking to improve the lives of all our service users.

Azra Bi

Community Support Team Leader

I have lived in Bradford since I was little girl.

I have previously worked in a nursing home and before that I did home care.

I started off as normal service provider but then after experience and gaining qualifications I became a senior then a team leader.

After work I love  go for walks, go to the gym and spend time with family & friends. I have 2 cats and I love them as I have had them since a child.

After joining care2care I feel very appreciated, get support and feel welcomed and cant wait to see where this journey takes me.

Andy Marshall

Training & Quality Manager
&
Moving and Handling Assessor

I’ve been married to my wife, Alex, for 5 years and have 3 stepchildren.

I started working in Care in 2013.

I knew Phill (Director of Care2care) from one of my previous positions and my wife was working with Gillian (another Director at Care2care!) so it seemed a logical step to join and work there.

I became Moving and Handling Manager in 2018, then in June 2019, became Training Manager.

In my opinion, it’s all about giving something back. Your Mum and Dad bring you up and at the end of their lives you look after them.

This is the best Care company I’ve worked for by a mile.

There is a serious side to Care, but we have a family environment here.

Rebecca Crowther

Administration Officer

I have lived in Bradford my whole life and joined Care2care back in October 2020 to start an apprenticeship as an admin assistant.

Previously I worked as a waitress/bar tender for a small pub in Oakenshaw, although working as a waitress was very different to what I do now I really enjoy the social aspect of both jobs.

I am a big lover of animals and over the years I have had many pets that include cats, a dog, rabbits, a parrot and even a horse. Spending time outdoors with my animals is what I enjoy doing the most, I find it really helps me to relax and get peace of mind.

At Care2care we are a close-knit team who pride ourselves in giving the best service we possibly can to all of our service users.

Noras Zaman

Quality Assurance Officer

I am originally from London, and I moved to Bradford around 18 years ago.

I have been working in care for over 10 years.

I like to spend time with my children and love to ride motorcycles.

I have worked with Care2Care over the course of 8 years, either for them or used them for their services for my other employers .

A great place to work and the team is excellent from office to community workers.

Abid Ali

Complex Team Manager

I have worked in care for almost 15 years.

I started off as a support worker and during this time I completed my level 2/3 NVQ in health and social care.  I was supporting individuals with complex needs and worked with a number of health professionals and agencies in Bradford.

I eventually completed my level 5 NVQ while I was managing a complex supported living service, which I managed for 5 years.

I joined care2care as I believed in their vision and values. I really like that the company gives opportunities to the team to progress within their roles.

Robert Ineichen

Complex Team Leader

I have worked in the Care sector for over 10 years. I started out in Residential care homes, looking after children and helping with their needs.

My previous work also included looking after the elderly in their own homes. Many of these clients had complex issues including full body paralysis and Parkinson’s disease.

I now take on the important role here at Care2Care, leading a team of excellent carers as we deal with Complex care in Bradford and surrounding areas.

Stuart Morse

Media & Marketing Specialist

I am married to Nicola and we have 4 children.

I joined Care2Care over 4 years ago as a Carer. Although only part-time, I found the training challenging and the work hard, but I enjoyed the interaction between people and I feel great knowing that the client is getting the care they need.

My current role is to improve the Social Media presence and profile of the company as well as attracting new Carers in an ever-expanding business. The company is improving in all aspects and this is down to the hard work of the staff.

The success of the company is due to the fact that we treat clients and their families with respect.

Anthony Talbot

Team Leader - Bradford West

I have been working in the Care Sector for over 10 years. I started in domiciliary care and did this for 3 years, then worked in a Care home in Northumberland before moving back to North Yorkshire, where I was born.

I have been working in a home caring for young people with special needs, helping them out with trips to gigs and festivals.

More recently, I have been involved in the palliative care system and I found this extremely rewarding. The families are so grateful for the care you give their loved ones even when they are going through so much heartache.

Nasrat Bi

Admin Manager

“My role is that of Office Administrator. I have 3 sons and they keep me busy outside of work.

I met Gillian (Director of Care2Care) 10 years ago when we worked together for another Care company. When she left to form her own business in 2014, she asked me to go along with her.

It is lovely to hear the many stories about clients who are so grateful for simple acts of kindness and that is something I think Care2Care can do very well.

This is one of the best companies going. It has a family friendly feel about it. Speak to clients and other service users and they have similar stories”.
