Equality, Diversity and Human Rights

Fair, inclusive and person-centred care for everyone

Our commitment to equality

Care2Care is committed to equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights. We promote fair access and equitable outcomes, and we treat every Service User with dignity and without unlawful discrimination.

Person-centred care and choice

We tailor care to each person’s assessed needs, preferences and desired outcomes. Service Users are supported to have a voice, make choices and maintain influence and control over their care, with access to advocacy where needed.

Reasonable adjustments

When a Service User needs a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act 2010, we consider their circumstances individually. The adjustment should be planned, recorded in the Care Plan and reviewed regularly.

Protecting rights

Any restriction on a person’s rights must be lawful, necessary and proportionate. It must also be tailored to the individual, limited in duration and reviewed regularly.

Community access and participation

We support Service Users to connect with their communities, healthcare providers and other professionals who are important to them. We also work to identify and remove barriers that may limit participation.

Accessible information and support
