Dignity, Respect and Human Rights
Promoting choice, compassion and autonomy
Dignity and respect
Dignity is central to person-centred care. Care2Care treats every Service User and member of staff with respect, compassion and fairness.
Choice and autonomy
We support Service Users to make meaningful choices and, wherever they are able, to make their own decisions about their care and lives.
When a person lacks capacity
If a Service User lacks capacity to make a particular decision, a decision may need to be made in their best interests. This must follow the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and take account of the person’s wishes, feelings, beliefs and values.
